WALKit
Dave Clement
"WALKit" is a working-prototype. It is designed around a specific, elderly individual who is keen to get out of the house once every day to walk into town. When a jacket or item of clothing is removed from the coat hook, the Arduino inside takes aspects of current weather information (condition, temperature and wind speed), and then calculates a single number to represent it, before recommending whether it would be pleasant to walk in (or if it is not) via the New York-style Walk/Don't Walk street signs (to which the individual is very familiar with, from her favorite TV shows).
