Each has been inspired by–and designed with–one of our grandparents, reflecting their interests, priorities and idiosyncrasies. All 13 together should put paid to any stereotype of older people and their potential relationship with digital technology.
prototype!
Although made of cardboard, these prototypes really work, thanks to Arduino technology inside. As interaction designers, we have concentrated on their behaviour, even over their looks–on how they present live internet data as meaningful information in the context of our grandparents' everyday lives.
